Brazil’s regulator is collecting input on registration duties and standards for greases and lubricating oils sold in the country.

Input period begins

ANP opened the request for input on 1 October to review Resolution 804/2019. The existing rule sets registration criteria and obligations for producers, importers and registration holders.

Topics and next steps

The agency is asking about minimum performance, circular-economy and biolubricant criteria, registration scope, fraud prevention and an electronic registry. Responses are due by 2 November and will inform an impact assessment and a future draft rule.
