# Anambra explores a modular refinery and LPG expansion

## State outlines proposal

Voice of Nigeria reported on 4 October that Petroleum and Mineral Resources Commissioner Charles Ofoegbu described the plans during a meeting with LPG marketers in Awka. The state said it wants to encourage private investment.

## Gas access and safety

Ofoegbu said the government was prepared to facilitate gas access for potential processing projects. The meeting also discussed an LPG safety workshop; no refinery contract, capacity or construction schedule was announced.
