Afrinvest repays Tony Elumelu’s undocumented $1 million investment with interest
Tony Elumelu said Afrinvest repaid a $1 million investment he made after the 2008 financial crisis without a written agreement or fixed repayment terms.
Elumelu described the repayment as an example of trust in business and said Afrinvest has since grown into a financial services group with more than 200 employees. The report said he did not disclose the interest rate or total dollar repayment.
