Abu Dhabi National Investment and Development (ADID), the Tanzania Mercantile Exchange (TMX) and Tanzanian partners announced the Tanzania–UAE Green Silk Road Initiative at the Global Food Security Summit on 7 October. It aims to connect production, processing, storage, logistics, trade and market access between the two countries. ADID chief executive Shamsa Al Fahim described it as an integrated agricultural value chain rather than simply a trade route. WAM reported the launch and its aims, but no committed investment amount or completed corridor infrastructure.
