Fitch affirmed Ras Al Khaimah’s Long-Term Issuer Default Ratings at A+, citing low public-sector debt, fiscal buffers and GDP per capita. It raised its 2026 GDP growth forecast to 1.5%, from a previous forecast of 1.8% contraction. Fitch projected 5% growth in 2027 and consolidated public-sector debt of about 11% of GDP over 2026–2028. WAM also reported a modest delay and marginal cost increase for an unnamed potentially transformational investment project. The growth and debt figures are forecasts; the project was not identified.
