Nakheel awarded Mar Marine & Building Contracting a marine and beach works contract for Island B at Dubai Islands on 8 October 2026. The scope adds 320 metres of beach frontage near Bay Villas and upgrades approximately 3 km of the island’s western shoreline; these are different measurements.
The planned works include new breakwaters, removal of existing protective rock revetments, formation of a new beach, and refurbishment or remedial work at existing beach areas. Dubai Holding Real Estate scheduled completion for the fourth quarter of 2027; the release reports an award and planned work, not completed construction.
