Abu Dhabi’s Department of Municipalities and Transport launched the Musaffah Innovation District as a long-term transformation plan. Phase 1 runs through 2030 and includes infrastructure and an initial release of about 100 hectares of development-ready land for light industry, logistics, warehousing, cold storage and last-mile distribution.

The planned Phase 2 from 2030 to 2035 would release more than 100 hectares for industrial clusters including semiconductors, electric-vehicle and aerospace supply chains, hydrogen, solar, energy storage and data centres. At full implementation, the plan is projected to contribute AED 227 billion annually to GDP and support about 269,800 jobs, with 26% expected to be high-skilled; these are forecasts, not achieved results.
