Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence’s Institute of Foundation Models and Inception42 introduced Jais 3, a family of Arabic-focused AI models. The release comprises 6 open language models ranging from 900 million to 375 billion parameters, plus Jais Speech for Arabic speech recognition. The models are built on the open-source K2 Horizon fleet released in September 2026 and trained on Modern Standard Arabic and regional dialects. The partners said they evaluated them on 24 Arabic benchmarks; these are developer-reported performance claims, not independent third-party validation.
