etisalat UAE receives ISO certification for its AI management system
The accredited certificate covers the company’s AI management system, not the performance or safety of every AI product.

etisalat UAE said it became the first telecom operator in the Middle East and North Africa to receive accredited certification to ISO/IEC 42001:2023 for its AI Management System. WAM reported that independent assessor LRQA carried out the assessment and is accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service for this certification. The system sets company processes for AI accountability, risk and impact assessment, lifecycle controls, transparency, human oversight and continual evaluation. The certificate applies to the management system, not to every AI product’s performance or safety.
