Al Sharqi Shipping opens AED 70 million cold-chain logistics hub in Dubai

Al Sharqi Shipping inaugurated an AED 70 million integrated logistics and distribution hub at Dubai Industrial City on 15 October. The facility has 280,000 square feet of built-up storage, 200,000 square feet of open yard, 30,000 square feet of offices and 40,000 square feet of basement area. Its temperature-controlled storage holds 22,000 palletised tonnes, from ambient conditions to -18°C; the hub has 38 loading lanes and can handle up to 178 trucks a day. The company expects the facility to create 500 jobs and serve food and beverage, FMCG, retail, HoReCa, quick-commerce and manufacturing customers.
