The CARES UK-verified cradle-to-gate figures are 139 and 218 kg CO₂e per tonne; AGSI attributes its “lowest verified” claim to its own comparison.

Arabian Gulf Steel Industries (AGSI) said a CARES UK-verified Environmental Product Declaration gives its Abu Dhabi rebar a cradle-to-gate footprint of 139 kg CO₂e per tonne. The company reported 218 kg CO₂e per tonne for its Sharjah operations, compared with typical scrap-based rebar at 600–700 kg CO₂e per tonne and a public EPD at 300 kg CO₂e per tonne.

AGSI said both figures were independently verified using the same production boundaries and measurement rules. It said production uses 100% locally recycled scrap and a fully electrified process. The “lowest verified” characterization is AGSI’s claim.
