Abu Dhabi’s Urban Planning and Permits Centre, within the Department of Municipalities and Transport, issued rules for industrial-building facades facing roads and public areas. They address appearance and maintenance, signs, entrances, service and storage areas, safety and fire prevention, and encourage climate-suitable materials. Implementation starts in Mussafah under Administrative Resolution No. 48 of 2026 and covers existing, new and under-construction facilities, including workshops, warehouses, showrooms, logistics centres and vehicle-service businesses. The authority set three improvement levels, from maintenance and organisation to extensive redevelopment in priority cases; phased notices and correction periods mean upgrades are not reported as complete.
