## High-Voltage Direct Current Converter Station Progress

The station utilizes 320 kV voltage-source converter technology and 2 parallel subsea cable transmission links totaling 3200 MW capacity.

The specialized converter transformers were engineered to withstand intense harmonic loading and high DC bias currents.

## Decarbonizing Offshore Operations

The project will reduce offshore oil and gas production emissions by more than 30% through direct supply from the mainland grid.

High-voltage direct current transmission replaces offshore gas turbines with clean nuclear and solar power generated in Abu Dhabi.
