Exploring collaboration
The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi said its first health and life-sciences mission to China held 32 meetings and site visits across Shanghai, Shenzhen and Beijing. Discussions explored joint research and clinical studies, validation and adoption of technologies, knowledge transfer and manufacturing, linking Chinese capabilities with Abu Dhabi’s health data, clinical infrastructure and regulatory environment. The department said 24 organisations had been invited to continue discussions at the Abu Dhabi Future Health Summit on 20–22 October. The announcement described opportunities under exploration, not signed agreements.
