Announcement details
The announcement celebrates the collaboration of international stakeholders and the Connect Award-winning BIM application.
From a 3D model to operating information
ENPRODE describes a 3D model together with its equipment and material information. The 4D approach links scheduling to the model, while 5D adds cost. The 6D scope brings together as-built facility data, operation and maintenance manuals, and manufacturer information. The model therefore becomes an information structure supporting the facility lifecycle beyond a design visualisation.
The company also says that models from different manufacturers are combined using IFC. Connecting the model to scheduling with Navisworks Manage visualises the sequence of work over time. The approach aims to identify clashes between disciplines before construction and reduce rework on site.
Shared document reviews with Aconex
According to the company's document management page, Aconex; It is used for document transmission, correspondence and review workflows. The ability of teams in different countries to participate in the same review process embodies the international model and data sharing that Deniz Asar describes in the announcement. This section describes the general document management application released by ENPRODE.
Sharing the model and its associated data
In Oracle's evaluation of BIM, Deniz Asar explains that along with the model, data related to the model can be transferred between teams. This explanation shows that the focus of the news is not only on three-dimensional visualization: the technical information that stakeholders will use when making decisions is also brought to the collaborative environment.
