Astor Enerji Clinches 33.8M U.S. Power Transformer Supply Contract and Unveils Plans for200M Plant in Kyiv Oblast

Turkish power equipment manufacturer Astor Enerji has signed a 33.8 million contract with U.S. utility developers for high-voltage power transformers, while advancing a200 million high-voltage electrical equipment manufacturing campus in Ukraine.

Accelerating High-Voltage Deliveries to North America

Under the newly announced U.S. agreements, Astor Enerji will manufacture and ship step-up and autotransformers rated between 115 kV and 345 kV with capacities up to 250 MVA. Deliveries are scheduled through late 2027 to address lead times that remain stretched across North American utilities.

The units will be built at Astor’s Ankara manufacturing plant, adhering to IEEE C57 standards, advanced low-loss magnetic core designs, and online dissolved gas monitoring.

Strategic $200 Million Substation Manufacturing Hub in Ukraine

Simultaneously, Astor confirmed preliminary agreements to invest up to $200 million in a state-of-the-art transformer and containerized energy storage manufacturing plant in Kyiv Oblast.

The facility will directly support Ukraine’s grid reconstruction, supplying robust 110 kV and 330 kV substation units engineered to withstand severe physical and electrical stress.
